Industrial/Warehouse News

Jonathan Sayer, Surveyor at FHP acting as joint agent alongside Salloway, is delighted to confirm the letting of Units 1 and 2 Salcombe Road, Meadow Lane Industrial Estate, Alfreton to PC4 Recycling.

PC4 Recycling have taken a new ten year lease of premises extending to 23,741ft² which are prominently situated at the junction of Salcombe Road and Meadow Lane.  The letting to PC4 Recycling follows the recent letting of Units 3 and 4 to Howdens Joinery.

PC4 Recycling is a leading computer recycling company offering a nationwide IT recycling service to clients including; STA Travel, Turner & Townsend, Midlands Co-op and Barlow World Handling.  Steve Holmes, Managing Director, formed the company in response to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive which was introduced in 2007.  The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the amount of electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover where possible.

Jonathan Sayer of FHP who agreed to deal on behalf of the Landlord commented:-

The letting to PC4 recycling limited is particularly pleasing.  The property was ideal for their use offering the right balance of warehouse and office accommodation to fit with their particular requirements whilst being within easy reach of the A38 Dual Carriageway and Junction 28 of the M1.  The letting underlines the significance that a Junction 28 location for occupiers seeking excellent value accommodation with good strategic transport links.

The letting brings 100% occupancy to the premises at Salcombe Road after the recent letting at Langham Park’s Berristow Lane scheme to Citi Post. Well presented, good quality units still generating enquiries whilst market conditions remain challenging this recent letting is encouraging and wish Steve and the rest of the team at PC4 Recycling all the best for the future.”

Mike Wrigley of PMW Property commented:-

“PMW Property Developments have been delighted to work with FHP,  who have secured another letting to complete occupancy within our unit at Salcombe Rd following on from successful lettings in three of our other units within the Derby/Nottingham area and satisfies the pent up demand for quality second hand manufacturing/warehouse units.

Our firm has also worked closely with FHP to successfully acquire further units/industrial estates within the area which will be released shortly.”

Steve Holmes of PC4 Recycling added:-

“The expansion is due to PC4 Recycling offering yearly contract rates back in March 2010, the additional 20,000sqft will help PC4 Recycling service our existing clients and new clients signing up for the popular yearly contract rate, which includes unlimited collections of any IT items collected all for the one price.”
