FHP Property Consultants are delighted to announce the letting of the former Tram Depot on King Edward Street in Nottingham City Centre. The property comprises a substantial Victorian former Tram Depot previously used in conjunction with Nottingham’s original tram system in the late 19th Century. This 10,000ft² building will now be put to good use as a new bouldering and climbing centre and will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment and fit out for this purpose over the coming months.

The climbing centre will be set up by the Yorkshire Climbing Company Limited, who already have a successful operation in Leeds and saw the opportunity for expansion within Nottingham.

Mark Tomlinson of FHP Property Consultants who acted on behalf of the landlords in the transaction commented:-

“I am delighted to have achieved this letting to the Yorkshire Climbing Company as this not only represents a good news story for Nottingham but I am also pleased to see a building of this nature put to good use, which will undoubtedly create an excellent leisure activity for the surrounding student and young professional population.  I cannot personally think of a centre of its kind in the Nottingham City area and I wish the Yorkshire Climbing Company every success in this venture.”
