When we formed the business in 1990 we did not realise that one of the greatest advantages that we had at that point was time - time to think and identify the sectors of the market which we felt were the greatest potential areas of growth.
It was a period when the property agency world was changing - the market was entering a recessionary period as major institutions had purchased many of the long established names and they lost their appetite. As a consequence we have always been outward looking – in our view every property and site potentially has an alternative use.The current times are now offering similar challenges and opportunities.
Creative thinking, linked with our expert knowledge arising from our agency teams has enabled FHP to become involved in the design of new developments throughout the region. We equally provide advice to land owners, companies or vendors of properties or sites with development potential. We help to maximise its value through the planning process, finding new opportunities, advising on optimum design and mix of the potential scheme.
FHP are renowned as being able to provide development consultancy advice having been instrumental in the evolution and implementation of some of the most significant regeneration projects within the region including:
* The East Midlands Distribution Centre at J24a of the M1.
* Waterfront Plaza, Nottingham - a 357,000 ft² mixed use scheme comprising a 264 bedroom hotel,110 residential apartmentsand a self contained 74,000ft office building.
* Full Street, Derby - a 120,000 ft² mixed use development in the Derby City Centre.
* The evolution of a mixed use regeneration scheme with anchor components being a Tesco Extra and a new football ground for Chesterfield Football Club.
