National and regional distribution centres have become increasingly important over recent years, with FHP recognised as being extremely active in the UK for warehouse space over 100,000 sq ft. We are involved in some of the biggest deals in the country and continue to dedicate resources to this expanding sector.
Profile
Over the past 20 years, FHP has committed to identifying sites with the potential to take large scale warehouse units. Customers looking for these types of developments, sales or lettings always need them to be in locations with unsurpassed road, rail and/or air connections. This is why the East Midlands - with its location in the M1 corridor, its supply chain and labour supply - has emerged as a prime location in recent years for this type of development.
Many of the projects we work on - the new 900,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer distribution hub at East Midlands airport, the 530,000 sq ft ASOS distribution centre in Barnsley, the 500,000 sq ft Co-op Northern Midlands Regional Distribution Centre at Castlewood - are retail distribution centres. So the FHP Industrial and Warehouse Team work hand in hand with our Retail Team to ensure clients enjoy the maximum benefit of our market knowledge.
