"The nature of Land Agency has changed during the last three years. I see my role now as more of an investigative one, following every thread of evidence of a development opportunity to its conclusion - often having to come up with more creative solutions to successfully secure the deal."
Profile
Working within FHP has given me the perfect platform to achieve my career goals. The entrepreneurial nature of the company and highly professional attitude to the job is infectious. The strength of FHP is in its commitment and support to its employees which enables us to get the job done.
My Land Agency role within FHP is quite unique. Unlike our competitors I focus solely on Land Disposals and Acquisitions, and general Development Consultancy Work, primarily within the Residential Development Sector. But increasingly we're working with Care/Retirement, Student, Pub Diner and Food Retail Developer Clients. The downturn in economic conditions means that where historically Residential Schemes produced the highest return, other uses are now becoming more competitive.
FHP has been giving strong professional advice in these sectors for years and it is this in-depth knowledge combined with a collective desire to succeed that makes my job easier and FHP the premier surveying practice in the Midlands.

Interests
I'm a keen follower of most sports, particularly football and F1. I played football at various levels and acquired my FA-accredited level 1 coaching badge. My competitive days of sport are behind me now following years of knee troubles, but I do continue to enjoy playing golf, badminton and 5-a-side with the guys in the office.
One of my real passions is snowboarding. It's restricted to only a week or two a year, but the adrenaline rush and sense of being alive is incredible. I wouldn’t wish to be anywhere else other than the mountains on a crisp and clear winter's day!
