New Retail and Leisure Opportunities
Derby is one of the most dynamic growth areas in the East Midlands with strong employment levels, a thriving manufacturing base and major businesses including Toyota, Rolls Royce and Bombardier.
The centre continues to perform well attracting 24 million shoppers in 2015. Retail lettings were concluded with MAC, Office, Jack & Jones, Kiko, Smiggle, Tiger, Quiz, Bobble Art and Jessops. The leisure mix has continued to evolve, with the centre providing the cities prime leisure pitch. Joe’s Kitchen, Byron, YO! Sushi and Zizzi all opened new restaurants in the centre and contracts have been exchanged with Chimichanga to open Q2 2016.
Planning consent has been received for a 42,000 sq ft leisure extension at Level 3 to comprise of an 18 lane ten pin bowling centre and adventure golf centre providing two 18 hole courses. The leisure extension is scheduled for a phased opening for Christmas 2016/early 2017.
There are further exciting opportunities available from 450 sq ft – 7,000 sq ft for retail and leisure operators to consider at Intu Derby.
