ANOTHER HAT TRICK OF OPENINGS FOR CARDZONE

Retail News

Cardzone Ltd t/a Paper Kisses have recently opened 3 new branches being at Eastwood, Market Harborough and Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

The acquisitions were negotiated by FHP Property Consultants, Cardzone’s retained agents as the Southwell based retailer continues to expand into 2012 with carefully selected strategic locations identified usually by the closure of an existing card shop where the existing shop fitting can be re-badged and some element of goodwill retained.  Cardzone have also acquired units with a Thorntons concession to add to the range of merchandise.

Mark Bradley of FHP who handled the transactions commented “The acquisition at Eastwood was as a result of the closure of a local independent card shop which was acquired by a chemist and Cardzone subsequently took over the former pharmacy unit which was operating from 65 Nottingham Road.  At Crystal Peaks, a unit formerly occupied by a national multiple card retailer on a temporary basis was secured on a permanent lease and in Market Harborough, a unit in the St Marys Shopping Centre was acquired in conjunction with a Thorntons franchise which was seeking a relocation in the town centre.”

Cardzone continue to expand in the Midlands and Yorkshire/North West with further temporary shops recently acquired in Bradford and Widnes.

Details of suitable units of between 750 – 1,250ft² either on a temporary let basis or a permanent lease should be forwarded to Mark Bradley at markb@fhp.co.uk or telephone 01332 343222.
