Retail News

Acting on behalf of Rock Investments, Fisher Hargreaves Proctor and Knight Rubins have let the ground floor premises of the George Hotel to Three Blokes Limited (a new limited company set up by an established retailer who have 15 units throughout the UK). This particular venture will specialise in the retail sale of vintage clothing and will therefore complement the existing eclectic retail mix of Hockley Village.

The tenant has taken a new 15 year lease of the premises at a commencing rent of £60,000 and has the flexibility to use them for the purposes of a bar and restaurant should they wish to do so.

Steve Young of FHP commented:

“This is a particularly satisfying result for FHP, who were brought on as joint agents less than a year ago. Prior to our instruction, the premises had been vacant for over 4 years, and the downturn in leisure acquisitions had made this an increasingly difficult unit to dispose of”.
