CARDZONE ACQUIRE A RETAIL UNIT IN OAKHAM

Fisher Hargreaves Proctor has acquired another retail unit for its retained client, Cardzone Ltd, at Unit 2 Gaol Street, Oakham trading as Oakham Card & Gift Shop.

The unit is a new development on Gaol Street which links the town centre with the Tesco supermarket and main car park and is located within an exclusive development including Hambleton Hall Bakeries and a local coffee shop and delicatessen.

The ground floor only premises comprise 548ft² sales area and have been acquired on a new 9 year lease subject to a tenant only break option at the end of the fifth year at a commencing rental of £12,500 per annum.

Mark Bradley who represented Cardzone in the acquisition commented:-

“Cardzone already trade from other premises in the town centre offering a value concept and this unit has been acquired to complement the existing business by providing a mainstream card offer together with ancillary giftware and collectibles.  The acquisition also builds upon the cluster of recently acquired units in Melton Mowbray and Birstall, Leicester.”

Cardzone now trade from 20 branches and are seeking further outlets for their continued expansion programme into 2010.
