CARDZONE/THORNTONS JOINT VENTURE LETTING IN SUTTON IN ASHFIELD

Acting on behalf of the joint venture of Cardzone/Thorntons, Fisher Hargreaves Proctor has acquired a new lease of Unit 21 Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton in Ashfield on a 5 year lease on a turnover based rental.

The unit was formerly occupied by Birthdays with a Thorntons concession incorporated and comprises ground floor sales of 1,040ft² together with first floor ancillary of 1,228ft².

Mark Bradley, who acted for Cardzone, commented:-

“This is the first Thorntons joint venture transaction that my client has agreed and was a benefit to both firms because Thorntons were previously trading from the Birthdays unit before that card chain went into administration.

A number of other towns have already been identified for the Cardzone/Thorntons joint venture and several of these are actively being progressed.

Cardzone now trade from 23 branches with a further 3 other units in solicitors hands scheduled to open for Valentines Day.”
