Fisher Hargreaves Proctor have successfully attracted another tenant to the Cathedral Quarter with a recent letting at 8-9 Strand Arcade to Fraiche Boutique.

Nic and Linda Stone, who have owned gift shop Fraiche in Sadler Gate for five years, are opening a new sophisticated women’s wear shop in the nearby Strand Arcade.

The couple have transformed the premises into a vintage boutique style shop which will sell a wide range of day and evening wear as well as accessories.

Nick explained: “This is a natural progression for us as we already sell a wide range of ladies’ accessories at Fraiche and our other business – The Bottle Kiln in West Hallam”.

“Despite the economic situation, we felt that this was a perfect time to expand our presence in the Cathedral Quarter. We hope to build on the arrival of Blue Water in Sadler Gate and the strength of other established businesses in this area to promote this as a destination of choice for ladies who want the whole experience from shopping and lunch to hair and beauty.”

Hannah Chapman of FHP, who agreed the letting and are the Cathedral Quarter’s preferred agents, added:

“It is extremely encouraging to see that an existing Cathedral Quarter retailer is trading well enough to support the investment into an additional store.

The fact that Nic and Linda chose the Cathedral Quarter to locate their business is testament to the fact that the Cathedral Quarter offers a quality shopping experience that fits their business.

Fraiche Boutique is just the type of premium retailer that we are aiming to attract to the area, building upon the wealth of niche, high quality businesses already here.

Fraiche Boutique will be a very welcome addition to the Cathedral Quarter.”
