Midlands’ Property Agent of the Year, Fisher Hargreaves Proctor, has acquired one of the region’s largest independent residential rentals agencies, Letting Made Easy, for its FHP City Living division for an undisclosed sum.  The Letting Made Easy client portfolio and employees will now join the FHP City Living team at their Lace Market office at Weekday Cross.

Letting Made Easy was founded 8 years ago by managing director, Claudine Edwards.  She will join Fisher Hargreaves Proctor as an associate partner and a further 3 Letting Made Easy employees will join as lettings consultants.

Letting Made Easy specialises in the rental and management of residential properties across Nottinghamshire to the professional market ranging from one bedroom city centre apartments to luxury country mansions.

David Hargreaves, equity partner of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor, commented: “The takeover of Letting Made Easy will strengthen our position as the region’s leading residential rental and management consultancy.

“Letting Made Easy’s established corporate client base will complement our business within the City Centre, The Park and Mapperley Park.  The highly regarded team led by Claudine will see our residential lettings and management team increase to 10 people.

“This acquisition will also see our management portfolio increase to over 300 individual properties, whilst we also manage 21 residential apartment blocks.”

Since launching 2½ years ago, the FHP City Living rentals division has firmly established itself as one of the city’s leading operators, specifically in the Park, Mapperley Park and city centre areas, more than tripling its team and turnover within this time.  The firm also launched the subdivision FHP Student Living earlier this year to manage specialist student accommodation schemes.

FHP City Living has recently expanded into additional office accommodation on Weekday Cross and is installing new IT systems in preparation for the arrival of the Letting Made Easy team.  The transition is due to complete in full early September.

Claudine Edwards commented: “The excellent client relations for which Letting Made Easy is renowned will be maintained throughout the transition and continued.  The takeover will strengthen our established market position – FHP City Living is a well recognized and aspirational brand, known for its cutting edge marketing and results led strategy and I am sure the two businesses will merge seamlessly.  We’re all looking forward to joining forces with a progressive company and taking our combined market leadership to an even higher level.”
