Office News

FHP are delighted to announce that they have successfully completed the sale of Unit 3, Alder Court to the Association of Person Injury Lawyers who have purchased the 5,166ft² office for £575,000.

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) have over 4,700 members and are a not for profit organisation dedicated to changing Law, protecting and enhancing access to justice and improving the services provided for victims and of personal injury for over 20 years.  The purchase will re-house their Head Office function of over 30 dedicated full time staff.

James Hartley of FHP who dealt with the sale commented:

“We were approached  to dispose of this property in late July and have been able to complete the sale to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers without formally placing the property on the market.  Using our extensive database of freehold requirements and interested parties we approached potential purchasers and from this exercise we had two parties that expressed an interest.  We then successfully took the sale through to a conclusion with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers who will be moving to these premises from Castle Quay and this will be their new Headquarters within Nottingham.

This deal highlights that in this market using good market knowledge and having a practical approach to disposing of a property a fast and effective deal can be completed.  There are purchasers out there it is just a case of matching the right people to the right property.”

This sale to the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers marks a historical day in terms of their new Nottingham head office as they will be moving from rented property to their own freehold owned property”.

Ted Parsons of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers further commented:

“We have been reviewing our property position for some time now and we decided to take the plunge and take on a freehold property as a change in strategy for APIL.  We have been discussing options with FHP for some time and when this property came on the market they approached us suggesting that it would be perfect for us and on viewing I had to agree.  The premises offer high quality office space in a pleasant environment along with plentiful parking for our staff and I think will offer a greatly improved environment for all our staff and we are all looking forward to moving in over the Christmas period.”
