FHP LEASE FORMER SALTWATER ROOFTOP BAR AND RESTAURANT TO ALTO

FHP Property Consultants has completed the sub-letting of the former Saltwater Rooftop Bar and Restaurant a new company set up by Marc Brough, John Glover and boxing legend Carl Froch.

The property totals more than 7,000 sq ft of accommodation together with a large rooftop terrace – which is unique in Nottingham. The owners have fully stripped out the unit and opened their new bar Alto at the weekend.

David Hargreaves of FHP, which was involved in the letting of all the units in The Cornerhouse in Nottingham when it opened more than a decade ago, handled the under-letting to Alto. He says that Alto will target the “aspirational” end of the leisure market.

Marc Brough said:  “This is an absolutely unique unit in the hugely successful Cornerhouse development. The bar was in need of some further investment and TLC.   We have spent more than £750,000 refitting the unit. The bar opened at the weekend and attracted celebrities and sporting personalities.”

Carl Froch, the former World Champion Boxer from Nottingham, said: “The rooftop terrace is unlike anything else in the city. We want the bar to be known as the place you go for a guaranteed good time and we believe the new interior, drinks and entertainment on offer won’t disappoint.”

FHP acted on behalf Ego Restaurants Limited, the previous tenants, in negotiating the under-lease.
