FHP SELLS 14 HIGH PAVEMENT

FHP acting on behalf of Receivers are delighted to announce the successful sale of 14 High Pavement to The Stone Soup project who have purchased the development opportunity to house part of their social enterprise organisation. 

The 9,504 sq ft former office and stores of Storm Clothing was purchased for £390,000 by The Stone Soup Project who have since been carrying out a series of repairs and a course of restoration that is much needed on the run down building.

James Hartley who handled the Sale for FHP commented:

“We took this instruction as part of our growing Insolvency Service and we are delighted that we have been able to complete this sale on behalf of the Bank so quickly and efficiently.  There were a number of issue with the building that we had to proactively manage as part of the insolvency work.  

Insolvency instructions do tend to require a greater deal of day to day management and care and attention to other jobs within the portfolio but with such a strong Management Team working alongside the Agency Departments we are able to offer a high quality insolvency service.”

James further commented:

“We had a great deal of interest in these offices from a number of different end users from hotels to marketing firms, bars and residential developers and in the end we were able to agree a sale with the Stone Soup Project to purchase the building as part of the social enterprise charity.”

Chris Manze from The purchasers The Stone Soup Project went on to further comment:

“We have been looking for some new premises for quite a while now to house our construction training element of our social enterprise charity and when we came across this building we just felt that it was a perfect option for us.  We were aware of a number of different issues with the building but thought that given the nature of training that we want to carry out in the building where better to do it than in a property that requires a lot of work.”
