As we enter August, my one-year anniversary at FHP is fast approaching. It’s hard to believe that just 12 months ago I graduated from the University of Reading, time has truly flown.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first year at FHP within the Retail & Leisure team, whether that’s been assisting colleagues or more recently, negotiating deals and managing my own clients. My transition to full-time work was reasonably smooth, and I feel I’ve adapted well to the pace and responsibilities my role entails. I have been on a steep learning curve with much more to absorb, however every day I feel more confident in my abilities, am able to apply my growing knowledge and continue to benefit from the experience and support of those around me.
Over the past year in the Nottingham office, I have successfully completed 19 deals, with a further 8 currently under offer. Many of these have been in the Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire areas. Notable transactions include the lettings of 4–8 Horsefair Street and 52 Market Place in Leicester City Centre, as well as the letting of 4,203 ft² at 593–595 Mansfield Road, Sherwood. A personal highlight was securing the letting of 2,680 ft² last month to Coffee#1 at The Crescent Shopping Centre in Hinckley.
This past year has been an invaluable experience and I’m grateful to everyone at FHP for not only helping me build my knowledge and apply it effectively in my role, but also the camaraderie of being part of a great team.
