Acting on behalf of Clowes Developments, we are delighted to see practical completion of the latest three new units to the Castlewood Business Park scheme, Castlewood Court at Junction 28 of the M1/A38.

The units were practically completed in the first week of February and during the early stages of construction, the first deal was struck with CST Industries who relocated from Alfreton taking just under 25,000ft².

During construction there have been plenty of interested parties in both Unit 11B and Unit 11C, respectively 31,000ft² and 11,000ft², each available to buy or rent, with one of the units likely to go under offer in the next couple of days.

As ever, space is moving fast at Junction 28 of the M1!

Tim Gilbertson of FHP Property Consultants, who is marketing the scheme, commented:-

“We were so delighted when our clients, Clowes Developments, confirmed that they would speculatively build further space on the site.  We have moved over 1.5 million sq ft of space at Castlewood over the last few years and having more speculatively built stock available is great news.  It’s no surprise that one of the three buildings is already let and another is virtually there, and therefore for any occupiers looking to buy or rent in the region, we do hope they will contact us shortly to arrange to have a look around as I don’t think these units will be available for long.

There is further speculative build on the site in the pipeline for the future but as the old saying goes – once these units are gone, they’re gone!”

James Richards, Development Director at Clowes, commented:-

“I’m very hopeful that we will be confirming the second occupier at Castlewood Court within the next few days and with the amount of interest already generated in the remaining building, hopefully it won’t be long until the third and final occupier comes along.

We intend to build out speculatively again on the site but that does provide a time delay so for any occupiers wanting space sooner rather than later, please do speak to our Agents now, although we do have further land available for both speculative and Design and Build deals for occupiers to buy or rent manufacturing or distribution space on the site.”
