On behalf of Wilson Bowden Developments, two more units in the superb Gateway 28 scheme have now been let to Qualitex Supplies Limited on a lease for over 10 years.

Tim Gilbertson BSc (Hons) MRICS, Partner at Fisher Hargreaves Proctor acted on behalf of Wilson Bowden Developments and is delighted to confirm the completion of this transaction which resulted in over 35,000ft² of space being let before practical completion.

The letting to Qualitex Supplies Limited, one of the Nations fastest growing suppliers of bathrooms, will enable Qualitex to continue their expansion and serve as their northern distribution base to complement their existing bases in Kent, Bristol and Scotland.

Gateway 28, Phase 4 saw six buildings speculatively constructed and of these four were let prior to practical completion and one sold.

Merely Unit 1C remains of just over 14,000ft².

At a time when a number of developers are reigning in their expectations, Wilson Bowden Developments continue to have faith in both their product and development sites and continue to speculatively construct units within the region. 

Tim Gilbertson who dealt with this letting commented:

“This is a particularly rewarding deal for both tenant and our clients alike as we managed to conclude terms prior to completion of the construction of the premises.

The eventual letting now concluded, will enable Qualitex to extend their growing business by providing them with a further northern distribution base to complement their existing southern locations. 

The letting of over 35,000ft² of new build space sets the benchmark again in terms of quality premises for the region and with only one unit left on this phase of development, we are hopeful of reporting further success shortly.”

“This latest letting of 35,000 sq ft at Gateway 28 further justifies our investment in this location where over 425,000 sq ft has been developed and let or sold since our acquisition of the first phase of the site in 2005.
