REBEL CLOTHING ARRIVE AT ST MARKS PLACE SHOPPING CENTRE, NEWARK

Rebel Clothing, a regional men’s and ladies wear fashion retailer who currently trade from outlets in Chesterfield and Loughborough have acquired their fourth outlet in St Marks Place Shopping Centre, Newark.

The company ran by Rajeev Dhir is expanding within the region, capitalising on the closure of national multiple fashion retailers as they seek to rationalise their portfolio as part of the bricks and clicks strategy.

Rajeev Dhir commented:

“We are delighted to have secured our new premises in Newark.  It is an established market town with a strong demographic and complements our existing stores in Chesterfield and Loughborough.  We are looking to gain additional representation throughout the region in 2013 and will be announcing further store openings shortly”.

The deal was secured by Alan Pearson, Associate Director of FHP Property Consultants who act on behalf of The Oakgate Group, the owners of the St Marks Place Shopping Centre, Newark.

Rebel Clothing have taken a 1,858ft² unit on a new five year lease.  The unit is occupies a prime position within the centre, opposite New Look and adjacent to Game.

“I am delighted to have secured Rebel Clothing within the scheme, complementing the existing offer provided by Marks & Spencer and New Look.  This letting demonstrates the strength of the centre and follows the assignment of the Game and Clinton Cards leases into their new companies following administration.  There is strong interest in the remaining units in the scheme and I hope to new announce new names shortly”.
