FHP have acquired a duo of properties for separate clients in West Bridgford adding to the already thriving mix of independent and national operators in the affluent suburb of Nottingham.

Bombay Sweet Centre, the purveyor of authentic Indian cuisine, has opened its second venue on the ground floor of 16 Gordon Road.  The company has been specialising in samosas street food, classic curries and Indian Sweets since 1995 from its original outlet on Radford Road in Nottingham.

Now, Bombay Sweet Centre is branching out to West Bridgford, its home suburb with the help of FHP Property Consultants with NG Chartered Surveyors acting on behalf of the landlord.

Alicia Lewis of NG acted for the landlord on the deal.  She said: “It’s fantastic to have successfully completed this deal for our landlord client.

“Bombay Sweet Centre has been feeding the people of Nottingham for almost 30 years and is renowned in the city for producing some of the finest authentic Indian food on offer.  Our landlord client is delighted to have secured such a high quality tenant and we all wish them well for the future in West Bridgford.”

Jack Shakespeare, Director at FHP, who acted for Bombay Sweet Centre, added: “I am very pleased to have secured such a great unit for our clients who have sought to open in the area for some time.  They have been incredibly well received by their existing and new customer base and have really added to the vibrant mix of operators in West Bridgford.”

In addition Oliver Marshall has acquired yet another unit for the popular Doughnotts brand opening their ninth outlet next door on the ground floor of 18 Gordon Road.  Doughnotts was set up by Wade Smith and Megan Scadden in 2015 and has become famous for its delicious doughnuts.

Lewis added: “The residents of West Bridgford are in for a real treat with these two new food concepts coming to Gordon Road.  West Bridgford is booming and we’re sure both new tenants will be a huge success.”

Oliver Marshall, Director at FHP, acted for Doughnotts. He said: “We are thrilled to have helped Doughnotts secure their 9th store and such a perfect spot for them in central West Bridgford.  This is off the back of their opening in Birmingham Bullring earlier this year and they have two more new sites to announce soon.  West Bridgford is the ideal location to complement their network of stores across Nottingham.”
