Fiona Young

I joined FHP as a Business Rates Account Manager in April 2022 as part of the Professional Services Team in our Birmingham Office . Prior to working for FHP I have had experience working in Business Rates for a large firm managing Business Rates on a leading Supermarket portfolio, a high profile High Street retailer and a large Accounting firm. I have also worked for a Local Authority in Gloucestershire and the Valuation Office Agency.

Ensuring that our client’s business rate demands are correct and all relevant reliefs are correctly applied.

Providing our Shopping Centre clients with monthly forecasting for their business rate liabilities.

Playing a key role in the scheduling of our Business Rates Mitigation Scheme.

Supporting our Business Rates Team in forecasting savings and the likely outcomes of splits and mergers and possible RV reductions.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my teenage daughters keep me busy.

I try and go to the Gym as much as  I can and I  enjoy watching most sport – especially Tennis, Rugby (I live in Gloucester!) and Netball.

I love animals and enjoy nature. I have two dogs and a cat and I love walking my dogs – a Labradoodle and a Cockapoo; in the countryside, off lead.

I enjoy going to the theatre – especially musical theatre  and enjoy live music. Cooking is a passion of mine when time allows and I enjoy baking.

I enjoy visiting different parts of the world on holiday (although I am a very nervous flyer!).
