ARK TAKE NEW RETAIL UNIT ON BOLD STREET, LIVERPOOL

Ark, an independent fashion retailer, have taken a new retail unit on Bold Street in Liverpool.

The company, run by Directors Tom Edge, Jo Edge and Rob Tyrell now has 15 stores with plans for further expansion throughout 2013.

Tom Edge commented “We have been keen to secure a store in Liverpool for some time and Bold Street is an obvious choice as it is a busy location particularly popular with the students.”

The deal was secured by Ben Tebbutt, a Director of the Nottingham Property Consultancy FHP, who advise Ark on their retail strategy.  He said “Ark continue their expansion in this difficult retail climate.  They sell a number of fashion brands as well as their own ladies brand Hearts & Bows and the men’s brand Cloak.”

Ark have moved into a retail unit of 9,000ft² which trades over basement, ground and first floors. A new edition to the Liverpool store is “Ark Vintage” which is proving extremely popular.  Ark have taken an assignment of a 15 year lease which expires in 2023 at a rent passing of £135,000 per annum.  Ark received a reverse premium equivalent to 15 months rent free.
