Acting on behalf of Oakgate Group, FHP Property Consultants has let the former Pretty Orchid restaurant on Pepper Street to Pepper Rocks.

The former Pretty Orchid restaurant is situated on Pepper Street, adjacent to Bridlesmith Gate, with nearby operators including Coco Tang, Jamie’s Italian, Carluccio’s, Prezzo and Dogma.

The property is built on the former caves which appears to have been used as a jail, said David Richardson of FHP Property Consultants.

Pepper Rocks was set up by the owners of Dino’s on Warser Gate, which is a highly successful bar and restaurant having first opened its doors in 2009.

David Richardson of FHP commented:

“I am delighted to have secured Pepper Rocks as a tenant for the former Pretty Orchid Restaurant which is situated adjacent to the prime fashion parade of Bridlesmith Gate. It always gives me pleasure to see local operators opening additional venues within the City who continue to defy the preconception of a doom and gloom market”.

Saffron Leong of Pepper Rocks commented:

“We are really pleased to have secured the former Pretty Orchid restaurant.

We are excited at the challenge of opening a new venue within the City which will serve both the local shopper and evening diner by offering great live music, locally sourced produce for our food menu, set within a chilled out, romantic atmosphere”.
