Acting on behalf of CBRE Investors, Steve Young of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor has let the iconic premises at 45 Bridlesmith Gate formerly known as The Bomb, to Mandarin House Limited.  Since The Bomb closed circa 18 months ago, the premises have undergone an extensive renovation, and the new tenants are committed to additional investment to create the City’s premier upmarket boutique club.

One Director of Mandarin House commented that “The venue will have an ambience of a late night drinking den. Inspirations for the venture are derived from the American prohibition’s secret underground clubs, and the style will be in keeping with the retro – industrial era. An extensive and creative cocktail list and a strong house music policy will be combined to deliver an exciting and addictive club vibe. The venue will have a number of unique attributes, and without giving too much away, revellers can expect a retro style glass block dance floor, salon facilities in the ladies bathrooms and a secret rooftop smoking garden”.

Mr Ferrer of Mandarin House commented “We have been working on this project for a number of months and we are very pleased to have successfully acquired this property as it is such an intriguing and endearing venue. We are proud to be opening the venue in the historic Lace Market area of Nottingham and look forward to introducing Nottingham to Coco Tang”.

Steve Young of Fisher Hargreaves Proctor commented “The Bomb nightclub had been somewhat of an institution for Nottingham’s leisure scene, and throughout the marketing period we have received high levels of interest from operators keen to acquire this unit. The proposal put forward by the new tenants was extremely comprehensive, and innovative, and for that reason they clearly emerged as the preferred party to proceed with. I have every confidence that they will make a success of this venture, and I look forward to experiencing what promises to be an entirely new vibe for the Nottingham leisure scene”.

Further information in respect of Coco Tang can be found on their website www.cocotang.co.uk, and people are also encouraged to read the exclusive interview in the September/October issue of FHP magazine.
