FHP SELL RUDDINGTON SITE TO CHURCHILL RETIREMENT LIVING

David Hargreaves of FHP Property Consultants has confirmed the sale of a 2.2 acre site in the much sought after Manor Park residential area of Nottingham to Retirement Living specialists – Churchill Retirement Living.

Pete Oakley Regional Land and Development Director of Churchill Retirement Living Ltd confirmed that Planning Consent had now been granted by Rushcliffe Borough Council for 43 Retirement Apartments.  “The new development will provide attractive, high quality, secure and self-contained accommodation in landscaped grounds.  As with all Churchill Retirement Living developments, apartment owners will enjoy independent living and a sense of community, with the benefits of a communal Owners’ Lounge, a Guest Suite, a Lodge Manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.”

Hargreaves who acted for the local charity that owned the land said:  “This is a stunning site in the middle of Manor Park, Ruddington with excellent facilities close by. With numerous mature trees in the grounds, the consented scheme comprises 43 apartments in an established and sought-after location and will be a stunning development when complete.”

Tony Hillary, a Trustee of the Charity said:  “We have been delighted with the commitment shown by FHP and our legal team to our Charity in keeping this deal together and then getting the sale over the line particularly through the Pandemic and lockdown and are very pleased with the price achieved by FHP.”

Pete Oakley confirmed that construction would start imminently with the Apartments likely to be available to buy and move into for summer next year.

Isobel Radford and Louise Mee of Freeths acted for the Charity in conjunction with FHP on the sale, with Shoosmiths acting for Churchill.
