Nottingham’s Intu Victoria Centre is bringing a host of top restaurant brands to the city for the first time as part of its £40 million refurbishment and remodelling project.

A new restaurant quarter, covering two floors with up to 12 units, will open in late Summer 2015 and is located around a new feature entrance at the Grade II-listed Clock Tower.

The enhancements to the immediate area include a new elevation and facade improvements, improved lighting and access onto an existing piazza area adding to the vibrancy of the street scene and location.

Handmade burger Co, Coast 2 Coast and Tortilla have signed for the lower level, benefiting from proximity to the piazza, with Ed’s Easy Diner on the upper level facing the mall.

All four restaurant chains are new to Nottingham, reflecting Intu’s ambition to bring fresh and exciting concepts to its customers, providing them with perfect shopping centre experiences.

Martin Breeden, regional director for Intu, said: “At Intu Victoria Centre, we already have the strongest footfall and the highest sales densities in the city.  Our refurbishment is consolidating Intu Victoria Centre as a prime pitch as shown by the recent openings of Urban Outfitters and Superdry. The clock tower dining area will provide another great reason to come to the centre and spend more time there.”

Alan Pearson, Director at FHP commented: “The remodelling of the Clock Tower entrance and creation of the Catering Quarter will be a great addition to the Intu Victoria centre.  There has been strong leisure demand in the city in the last year which is demonstrated by the new names we have been able to attract to the centre.”
