Chek Whyte Industries has sold one of Nottingham’s best known landmark buildings to Global Fire Systems Ltd to help Global in their onward growth.

Global Fire and Security Systems was established in 1999. It has since grown into a multimillion pound specialist fire and security company both Nationally and Internationally with contracts in every part of the British Isles.

Global relocated headquarters to the NG2 Business Park in 2006 and are now moving the specialist Gas and Ansul Fire Suppression Division to Lenton Lodge, allowing further room for expansion within the NG2 offices.

Managing Director Ian Grantham stated “this division has a large discerning client base requiring platinum levels of service and has contracts for Abu Dhabi “The World”, Wembley Stadium, Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, Twickenham, Lords, The Oval, St Pancras, Terminal 5, Tate Museum, 02 Dome, and national contracts with Hilton Hotels, Greene King. J D Wetherspoon and Marriott Hotels.”

The investment in Lenton Lodge facilitates not only offices but also a high level Hospitality suite which will allow prestigious clients to share in part of Nottingham’s fabulous heritage.

Lenton Lodge was historically a Gatehouse to Wollaton Hall and sits proudly in a highly prominent position on Derby Road within the City boundary.

Chek Whyte Industries acquired the property two years ago and have undertaken a high quality refurbishment with the building providing some 3,324ft² of offices and a large amount of on site car parking. 

This continues to build on Chek Whyte Industries reputation in completing high quality refurbishments of Listed and Victorian buildings.  Projects within the Nottingham area have included the restoration of properties such as Bunny Hall, Stanford Hall, Lenton Lodge with the group now on site refurbishing the former Trent FM offices on Castlegate, a 10,000ft² Grade II Listed building overlooking St Nicholas Church.

This refurbishment is designed at providing a high quality professional office within this classical four storey Georgian former townhouse.  The refurbishment works have commenced with the building due for completion in the spring of 2009.
